Nelson Publicover

Nelson was previously chair of the Department of Electrical and Biomedical Engineering and is currently director of the graduate program in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees in solid state physics from Dalhousie University along with a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from McGill University in Montreal. While at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Nelson performed fundamental biophysical research on the origins and spread of electrical activity in the gastrointestinal system. He has also developed biomedical instrumentation, particularly in the areas of microsurgery, X-ray imaging and light microscopy. He has conducted projects funded by the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Johns Hopkins University, Whitaker Foundation, Civilian Research and Development Foundation, State of Nevada, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and the private sector. Nelson is an inventor in 10 issued or pending patents. He serves as a scientific consultant to a number of private sector firms. Nelson’s technical background includes biotechnology, software design, electronics design, signal processing, optics, and systems integration.

Ed O’Dea

Ed O’Dea is a consulting CFO with CFOS2GOPartners. He has over 30 years experience as a CFO/COO, with in-depth knowledge of general and financial management, accounting processes, internal controls, debt & equity financing, mergers/acquisitions, start-ups, & strategic and financial planning. He is a effective leader, adept at listening, communicating and problem solving with excellent interpersonal skills, and a solid understanding of all corporate functions from sales/marketing and Biz Dev to HR and accounting/reporting. Ed’s recent clients have included several high and medium tech start-ups, a food processor and distributor, a wine/tech consulting/ investment firm, and a focus on 409A valuations for privately held investor backed companies.

Ed recently was the CFO for Specialty’s Caf? & Bakery where they had three preferred equity rounds in addition to their bank financing and grew from 10 stores to 24 stores. In addition he was the CFO for LookSmart, Ltd, an Internet Directory and Search Engine, Interactive Development Environments, an International Software Development Company, Itel Corporation, a Leasing and Financial Services Company and Asst Controller for Levi Strauss. Ed started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co, where he spent 9 years in both San Francisco and Spain. Ed has a BA in Economics and a MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. He also attended the Stanford Executive Program and is a California CPA (Inactive).

Sally Watters has over 32 years experience in all aspects of accounting with proven abilities to effectively manage multiple clients efficiently. Sally provides financial management and accounting support in the public and private sectors. Sally is results oriented possessing strong hands-on experience within diversified industries and economic climates, which include manufacturing, retail, high-tech, military, medical and nonprofit firms.

Some proven areas of accomplishments include Government Grant Reporting, Profit Sharing Plans, 401K Plans, Far/DFAR Compliance, Cost Control Programs, Government Policy and Procedure Requirements. S.E. C Reporting, Audits, Internal Controls, Tax Preparation, Financial Statements, Multiple General Ledgers, Budgets, Cash Management, Inventory Control, Payroll, Registration Requirements for Government Contracts, as well as others.

Prior to joining C4Cube, Watters was the CFO and Principle Accounting Officer for Hytek Microsystems Inc. – A publicly traded Company located in Carson City Nevada. Watters is a graduate of the University of Calgary with a BS in Finance.

Soody Tronson

Soody Tronson, M.S., J.D has over twenty years of experience in law, science, engineering, and business management in start-ups and established environments. She practices intellectual property law, patent and technology/business transactions, related to a range of industries, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, chemical manufacturing, high technology, and Printing.

Prior to starting her firm, she practiced law as IP Counsel at Silicon Valley offices of prominent national law firms as well as IP Counsel at the Hewlett-Packard Company, and was Vice President of Intellectual Property and General Counsel at a successfully acquired medical device start up company. Before starting her legal career, she spent over ten years in the industry holding technical and management positions at companies such as Hewlett-Packard and Schering-Plough. Soody is licensed to practice before the State of California and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She instructs courses in IP and licensing at the University of California; is a mentor at the Stanford University Innovation Program and at Astia Organization; is on the Board of Advisors for Licensing Executive Society (Silicon Valley Chapter); Children’s Charity Organization, and Retired Professional Athletes.
