It takes a well-balanced team of mature, enthusiastic, driven, focused and determined professionals to make a startup work. Knowing your strengths, weaknesses, potential and limitations is essential to being a productive contributor to your team’s success.

ü Committed: sufficient time and energy for the duration of their development process
ü Coachable: open minded, eager to learn, understands their limitations, can integrate wisdom
ü Experienced: has some working familiarity or track-record in the area they want to operate
ü Resources: has access to key business, IP or operational resources specific to the project
ü Availability: can dedicate substantial fraction of their work week to the project
If you’re and entrepreneur or want to be part of a hot new startup and think you’ve got what it takes to succeed then please contact us. You may then be invited to interview with our Venture Council for consideration to enter the program or you may be put on a list of available business team members when the right opportunity comes along.
Whether you’ve been turned down for funding or are just starting out, we are looking for businesses with high growth, high potential, and a team willing to work hard to achieve your goals. This usually means a new kind of business or a more conventional business done in a radical new way. While it often revolves around technology, it doesn’t have to. And it doesn’t have to be the traditional equity builders targeting an IPO or M&A exit strategy. There are plenty of fast-track businesses that are excellent profit generators which excite investors.

« Highly leveragable (finite efforts and resources can yield large results)
« Significant amount of background research, market analysis and financial modeling
« High growth potential (revenues greater than $10M in 3 years; $25M in 5 years)
« Experienced management team in place or identified in that industry.
« High returns potential (equity growth or net profit).
« Short time to market (within 1 year)
« Short “time to profitability” (less than 3 years)
« Scalable penetration into markets outside of our region, state and nation.
« Strong intellectual property position (patents or licenses).
« Sustainable competitive advantages.
« Finite amount of remedial work required for funding
« Good match between what the business needs and what CUBE can provide
« Achievable plan for generating revenue.
« Reasonable funding request and plan for use of funds.
