We recognize that most investors want to fund “business-ready” ventures. They don’t have the time or inclination to do “remedial work” to prepare them for funding. Yet some percent of ventures that are turned down by institutional investors are “almost ready”. You’ve already qualified the plan, met with the entrepreneurs, and know the faults. We’d like to rapidly turn these ventures into fundable deals that meet your criteria. Think of it as ‘finishing school’ for business startups. Your deal flow increases with no extra effort on your part and the local community enjoys more dynamic new startup activities.

It is important to our community that we encourage, support and celebrate the creation of dynamic new businesses. They bring more high-paying jobs for residents and graduates of local schools. They stimulate new ideas. They diversify our economic base. They bring exciting new products and services to our community. They create new customers for local vendors and service providers.
We seek sponsorship of our programs and the Clients we assist from local businesses and organizations. Your help is limited only by your imagination. Anything from grants, scholarships, seed funding, services-in-kind, product/materials donations, gifts, awards, etc.

SUPPORTERS
Energizing startup activity in our area will require the support of a wide variety of community stake-holders. This includes everything from economic development organizations, government agencies to private and public academic institutions. Please contact us if you wish to learn how your organization can contribute to dynamic new business in our region and participate in their success.
Our Clients will need an ever-expanding set of products and services to fuel their business activities. While it is not our purpose to “create new customers” for local vendors, we recognize that good vendors can be of tremendous help to struggling entrepreneurs. Please contact us if you wish to participate.
Startups in our program will need coaching and challenging from many different sources and viewpoints. There will be needs for specialized skills in business and technical areas. There will also be a need for good general business management wisdom. You will be expected to deliver on your commitments to the program. Advisors will assist Clients as needed for a period of time. Counselors are a special sub-group of Advisors who have committed to work with the Client and coordinate their development (including access to Advisors and other resources) until they graduate (get funded). While there is no cash compensation to you for these services, each Advisor will earn a share in an equity pool from the Client which is proportional to their contribution (time and effort basis) to the Client.

You need only be a current or retired business executive at the VP level or above to qualify.
